  2. Monitor Energy Production – Many systems include apps or online portals that track output. A sudden drop in production may indicate dirt buildup or a technical issue.
  3. Schedule Annual Inspections – A professional can check wiring, the inverter, and mounting structures. Preventive maintenance helps avoid costly repairs later.
  4. Minimize Shading – Trees or nearby buildings casting shadows can significantly reduce output. Consider trimming branches or adjusting panel placement.
  5. Ensure Proper Ventilation – Air circulation beneath the panels helps regulate temperature and prolongs their lifespan.

Technological Advances and the Future of Solar Panels

Solar technology is evolving rapidly. New panel types—such as PERC, bifacial, and heterojunction cells—offer higher efficiency and lower degradation rates than older models. At the same time, inverters and monitoring systems are becoming smarter, making it easier to detect and correct performance issues.
